Not sure on the Wifi, but Taskbar Notifier has a bug I am guessing you had another mail account on the phone at one stage and removed it? Taskbar Notifier is picking up the cache for that mail account that still exists. There is a Directory you can delete to get fixed but I can't remember it off the top of my head.

You'll also find that taskbar notifier doesnt work anymore either. (hmm, unless its a permissions issue)
Alas unable to help with the wifi issue. Mine works just fine with the 1.1.3/ziphone upgrade, but I think others have had your problem... might be worth a check at hackint0sh.org

the common problems i can locate is where the WIFI option is completely greyed out. and the other problem is when they are actually connected to the wifi but can browse.. but that seems to be a dns problem.
I cant find anywhere where someone has had the same prob as me.
Wifi only searching for 1 second.
Ive reset all networking settings with no luck.
Also restored the phone again and synced with itunes as a new phone so as to not carry any old settings across and still no help.
bugger !

Hi
What channel are you using for Wi FI? try altering to channel 13 on your router and see if that works

My other iphone is fine .. and i have 2 imacs connecting to the same router.

Im currently at a different location with wifi on ... using a macbook to type this connecting through that access point..
my iphone just seems to be lazy ... starts trying to look for a network but gives up after 1 sec...
driving me nuts!!!

Are you still on 1.0.2? You should really consider an restore and jailbreak etc with osx ziphone 2.4. everything working well here with that combo.
The restore files can be downloaded from Unlock the iPhone - the simple tutorial! and you should hold your option key down when restoring in iTunes, otherwise the phone will get upgraded to 1.1.4 and I am not sure of the consequences of doing that at this time. Have a look in the babysteps guides that the guys have put together.
Also, get the ziphone from ZiPhone Download Server
