HELP! iPhone not displaying my vodafone service [ No Service ]

Hi All,

Originally on iPhone 1.0.2 firmware this morning i decided to do the upgrade.

The whole process went fine... before iWorld was installed i had saw that my iPhone was displaying my vodafone network but has disappeared and displayed No Service after installing iWorld.

So freaking out like anyone else would I downgraded to 1.1.1 as well as the baseband which was all successful. No my problem is that it is displaying a unactive Optus sim which i had put in but my vodafone sim is not connecting to the vodafone network but only display 3 bar reception.

My vodafone sim card is functioning on another mobile phone just fine. I a really stumped with this one and would really appreciate someones help or guidance.

Thanks in advance for everyones input!

Kai,

What did you upgrade to? 1.1.2? 1.1.3?

Aren't you supposed to reboot the iPhone or something, after installing, running and removing iWorld?

Why didn't you just leave it at 1.1.1 if you were able to recover? What is it on now?

So it displays some sort of reception, but is not connected to any network?

I just took out the sim and put in my vodafone sim and it works omg, you don't know how relief i am... 8hrs gone! LOl

Thanks for the reply Huy, just one other thing... i tried to install summerboard and it is saying that it only works with 1.1.3 even if i try to install the old summerboard.

Do you know what it may be?

All is fine now. Downgrading baseband, restoring then using anySim did the job.

Yeh i think with iPhones getting No Service after a upgrade, using baseband downgrade in installer fixes that issue as it has something to do with the commcentre.

Plus i don't know if this is a factor but having the sim card out when using anySim has been better for me as well.
