Of course Apple can't help you, if they know you're using it illegally (?) in Australia.

Try forcing a restart by holding down Home + Sleep button for a few seconds.

Just checked Federal and State laws.

Nup, iPhone is not even mentioned.

Looks like it is not unlawful to use an iPhone in Australia. (A-Tick and C-Tick approval withstanding)

Of course if it were to have one of those SuperSIMs inside you could have a SIM cloning legal problem.

This has happened to me lots of times with customers iPhones.

I know it sounds strange but I have had success by reversing the usual 'restore' mode steps.

So you hold both Home and Power down - but release the Home first - then the Power.

If this does not work try connecting to iTunes and seeing if it detects the iPhone in 'restore" mode (first try it after doing the above), and if that does not work, also try it after carrying out the usual 'force into restore mode' steps.

Still no good?

Try the "Boot from Recovery" button in "Jailbreak 112"

One of these methods will work. I have never failed to get the iPhone back to a stable state.

Cheers,

Hi all,

I ran into a similar problem after I unlocked 1.1.2 (upgraded from 1.1.1). Now my iphone stucks at the apple logo screen then reboot automatically. However, I recently found that iTune 7.5 still detect the iphone and able to sync with it eventhough apple logo is still on the screen.

Does anyone run into this problem before? Could I do the 'restore - shift+restore' it back to 1.1.2 without bricking it? Is there a better way to fix this problem?

Thanks thanks thanks!
