Bricked my iPhone, stuck on Apple Logo

Guys, I could use some help.
While messing with the Aussie Localisation hack Aussie Localisation hack, now my iPhone will no longer boot. It sits at the Apple logo.
I installed the app, it did it's thing then I went to restart the phone, this is when it went down hill.
I've tried reseting using home/power keys, but nothing.

Strangely, it will still sync with iTunes/iPhoto.

Any ideas?

You aren't able to brick your iphone by hacking it with software etc.

You are able to restore it using iTunes but I can't exactly remember the procedure..someone will pop by soon and tell us though

Well, perhaps bricked is not the right term then?
But it only shows the apple logo on screen.

I don't have an adapter to use the wall plug, only the usb dock.
Turned the iPhone off, sat it in the dock, and it auto started, but still only shows the logo.
iTunes just opened and is showing the iPhone Summary.

Now what?

EDIT: 1.1.1 firmware & 24" iMac + OSX Leopard, latest iTunes

Well I know I know you were playing about with Koren lang stuff.

But I will say playing around with the localization files in FW 1.1.1 has been well documented to stuff iPhone up also it has prevented user to have a successfull upgrade to FW 1.1.2.

What you might now have to do is a full restore with iTunes to FW 1.1.1 this will wipe all you data & settings & your 3rd party stuff.

Then your going to have to jailbreak again with jailbreakme.com

Do you have a copy of FW 1.1.1 ?

You might consider upgrading to FW 1.1.2 as 95 % of localization for Australia is there.

F$%K, that's why I payed extra for an unlocked unit, as I wasn't confident with unlocking myself.
No other ideas, before i go down that path?

I don't have the firmware, but am sure I can grab 1.1.1 from the usual places

You do not have to sim unlock again for FW 1.1.1

Not to be rude but not confident to unlock but you were installing Korean language & changing localizations are not things for someone without knowledge.

M8 the best I can think off is a full restore to FW1.1.1 as it sounds stuffed.

Are you saying that using iTune restore, with the 1.1.1 firmware, will not require unlocking again?

Yes a restore of iPhone with iTunes & you will have to activate & jailbreak again FW 1.1.1

Sim Unlock is something different and you dont need to do again as your not going to change the baseband.

you can read how to activate & jailbreak in my post here:

Unlock Activate iPhone FW 1.1.1 without computer

One last problem though, is that iTunes keeps asking me to download newest firmware, even though i selected the restore option

This is the only part you have to do to get you FW 1.1.1 up after the restore with iTunes.

Unlock Activate iPhone FW 1.1.1 without computer

Though a few of you just getting iPhones would like to see these directions:

Unlock Brand New iPhone 1.1.1 in 10 min without any PC
What you need
1. A Brand New iPhone 1.1.1 or a Revirginized 1.1.1
2. A WiFi Connection
3. This guide

- In the Activate Iphone Screen Scroll so we can get to the dialer pad
- Type: *#307# and press call
- You Phone will Ring Answer it, Note: If you dont get the Answer Screen,Delete *#307#, type 0 and press call
- Press hold
- Your phone will ring again but this time decline the call This will Send you to the Contacts Screen.

- Add a Contact With 2 URLS:
1) prefs://1f
2) http://jailbreakme.com
- Tap preffs://1f this will send u to the settings screen
- Select Your WiFi Connection and leave your phone there for 1 min or 2mins.
- Reboot your phone, if u get the Wi-Fi symbol Go to the next Step, if u don't repeat the procedure until you get Wi-Fi

- Now do the *#307# to get into the contact Screen Again
- Tap your contact, and select the URL2 http://jailbreakme.com

- Thats it! Scroll down, and hit "Install AppSnapp". Safari should disappear, and pop you back to the Home screen. Wait patiently for a minute - don't touch anything til it pops you back to the Slide to Unlock screen. The phone will ring answere but wait the full minute.

- Slide to unlock, and Installer.app will be installed on your iPhone/iPod Touch

To select a FW you need to use OPTION key & RESTORE button together

Then a box will open up you need to select to FW file which you should put on your desk top after download.

Safari will add .zip to the file then unzip it. Toss this copy away & in your trash you will find the copy with .zip. Move this copy to the desk top and remove the .zip and you will have .IPSW file it will look like a cube with a musical note. This is the FW file used for restore or upgrade.

Okay, I really appreciate your time.
Just downloading 1.1.1 now.

If this goes well, might then try jumping to 1.1.2, as you noted, this has proper INTL settings, rather than hacked like I did to mine.

Wish me luck.

EDIT: F$$K, here we go
EDIT 2: Restored
EDIT 3: Sim Pin required (Don't have AT&T sim)
