I was trying to upgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 using oktoprep. Now I am simply trying to restore to 1.1.1 so that I can start again.
EDIT: After doing the whole restore shebang it says The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1015). Should I try to restore to 1.1.2? Does that mean I will forever have a locked phone? I am having trouble getting iTunes 7.5 back to try that.

Ok, You can't roll back to 1.1.1 properly if your phone has 1.1.2. If this has what is happened follow this guide to get your phone back to standard 1.1.1
http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php...g_OS_X_current
I hope this helps

My iPhone was unlocked and running 1.1.1 and I never restored to 1.1.2, just upgraded. At the moment I am downgrading to 1.0.2 because that is what iNdependence is telling me to do.
Thanks for the guide by the way.

This is nearly as bad as the hardware unlock. The iPhone gizzards are on the outside only in my head. I have successfully unlocked my iPhone with firmware version 1.0.2 and baseband version 04.02.13_G using AnySIM version 1.2.1u. Now, I can deal with this (even though it is a downgrade from what I had a few hours ago) but can I go back to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 using iTunes 7.6 without any problems? The guide here says that I need baseband version 03.14.08_G.
EDIT: I have downgraded the baseband to 03.14.08_G and now I am trying to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.1. I will try to follow the MacTalk 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 guide from here.
EDIT: I feel like I am liveblogging, but usually there are people reading. I am using anySIM to unlock 1.1.1 and if that works I am going to call it a day. What an upgrade! From 1.1.1 to 1.1.1 in four hours. Big ups to all that have made this possible.
EDIT: Woooooo. 1.1.1 all the way baby. It's not easy being this good.

Quick Question:
I have my Iphone unlocked and jail broken, everything seems fine except my talk volume. It's really low, that I have to have my speaker on. How do I adjust it to become louder?

i dont think theres a jailbreak for OTB 1.1.3 phones yet. only for jailbroken 1.1.2 ones. the baseband that comes on 1.1.3 phones doesn't work with any *Sim solution AFAIK

upgraded to 1.1.3 :)
Hi All..
I Just upgraded to 1.1.3 and its working perfectly fine for me.. .. I upgraded it earlier to 1.1.2 few days back and now on 1.1.3
. I didnt have any problem with Ringer / Edge indicators... But firmware dependent custom apps didnt work..
sendsong -- crashed when u tap on the application..
categories
customize
One important note : The 1.1.3 software upgrade will be visible in the list ONLY if you have the latest installer(v3.0b10).. I had 3.0b09 earlier which didnt show up the upgrade patch, though the ibrickr set up was successfully completed..
SMS one feature still missing from iSMS, is deleting individual msgs within one conversation.. I either have to delete the entire conversation or keep it as it is
I use it, not sure how useful its for others..
i followed the steps at this link to upgrade:
http://lifehacker.com/348793/jailbre...ird-party-apps
Hope the custom applications from different sources will be updated to make them compatibile on 1.1.3
Cheers,
Neel

Nope. Is that the reason? I mean it's really low.

Well, let's see here. Is the plastic covering the speaker?
