Hi, I am currently running 1.1.3 and I really want to upgrade to 2.0 but I have searched around and have found nothing on upgrading to 2.0. Also does anyone know anywhere that fixes iphone that are bricked etc (because after my bad experiences with unlocking ,y iphone i am to scared to touch it now). I used to know quite a fair bit about iphone but now i have lost track and well you know...
Oh and i have had people tell me that i can upgrade to 2.0 but not sure it that is correct.

So if I click update to 2.0 (on my 1st Gen iPhone) in iTunes, what happens?
Do I brick it? Does it not allow me to use Virgin as my carrier? Will it give me unlimited credit at the iTunes store?

You will brick your iPhone. ie: you will not be able to use it as a phone.

Guys, Just unlocked my iphone etc, trying to work out how to get some apps on it. I downloaded a few on the net to assist in getting my sim contacts across. Can anyone help in recommending the correct program to use to browse the phone? Been searching a while and they all seem to no longer work... Thanks

PLEASE HELP....
On my Macbook Pro, 10.5.4, I did this but when the iphone (2G) rebooted all I got was the pineapple logo, it then goes to the steve cartoon. I have tried everything but I cannot restore my iphone. I open itunes and it say's my phone is in recovery mode. I have tried again and again. I get an error code from itunes (1604) & (20). I have tried going back to itunes 7.5 and reinstalling 1.1.0, 1.1.1, 1.1.4. I have tried ziphone and the rest, but nothing. With ziphone I get USBMuxListenerCreate: Permission denied. I have tried using a friend pc doing all of the above.

what stage is at when you try to turn it on? You will have to be a little more specific. If all you are getting is the logo for plugging it into itunes you will need to do a restore then try the process all over again
