Hey there. This was working before but now (after the 2.1 upgrade?) seems to not.
Anyone else have the same issue?

Damn! That means it's something I've done. OK, thanks, I'll see if I can sort it.

OK. I've worked out that the bookmarklet doesn't seem to work with URLs that start with numbers - like some .mobi addresses. I was trying to create an icon for the TransPerth mobi but can't get the dialog box for the icon to appear.
Can someone confirm that.
Thanks.

What is the address? I'll give it a go for you. I typed in transperth.mobi and it didn't work.

The address I'm trying to include is:
136213MOBI
Thanks.
Edit: Actually, you'll have to input the "136213.mobi" address into the iPhone, I think.

Yeah it doesn't work. But the strange thing is I tried the delicious bookmarklet and it worked fine. So it appears to be that particular bookmarklet that doesn't work.
If you desperately want to have a webclip then you can do it the way I used to before I found this.
You essentially set up a page with javascript forwarding to the page you actually want. But, make the webclip for the page before it forwards.

Thanks for that.
I'm a graphics guy, rather than a tech guy, so if you have a link to instructions how to do what you used to do, I'd appreciate it.
Cheers.

I've noticed that since the 2.2 update, the original webclips for certain sites seem to come back and override the custom icons that I created for them.
Is this happening to anyone else?
