I've just updated the guide at the top of this thread for the new firmware 2.0.2 and the new version of Pwnage Tool that was released a few hours ago. It worked for me.

Yeah... I thought the same thing, too. Does anyone know where it has gone? Maybe they found a bug...

They pulled it down as phones weren't saving passwords in Safari or mail.

Re-release is imminent.

Done.

The updated version deals with the bug that caused some people a problem with lost passwords. The link in the guide is now the new one.

Some people report significant improvements; others say there is no noticeable improvement. But then people's experience of the problem varied before too. Go figure!

PLEASE HELP....
On my Macbook Pro, 10.5.4, I did this but when the iphone (2G) rebooted all I got was the pineapple logo, it then goes to the steve cartoon. I have tried everything but I cannot restore my iphone. I open itunes and it say's my phone is in recovery mode. I have tried again and again. I get an error code from itunes (1604) & (20). I have tried going back to itunes 7.5 and reinstalling 1.1.0, 1.1.1, 1.1.4. I have tried ziphone and the rest, but nothing. With ziphone I get USBMuxListenerCreate: Permission denied. I have tried using a friend pc doing all of the above.

Are you making sure you get your phone into DFU mode, not just recovery mode? iTunes will say recovery mode either way, but if it is in DFU mode, your phone will have a blank screen, not the Steve cartoon.

Not sure if its just me, but every time i successfully jailbreak my iPhone3G, eventually a third party app (i.e. Customise etc..) will crash and put my iphone into a endless apple logo boot. But there's no problems with the iphone un-jailbroken.
