Do I need to activate it in iTunes or something?
I hope it doesn't persist after the restore.
Thanks for the words of support mate.

It should have been activated by Optus before you left the store. Restore in I tunes then it will guide you through any activation required. Do everything now through I tunes. Have you downloaded the latest I tunes software update?

Ah, here we go. I got a screen on the iPhone asking to connectto the iPhone (like the one I saw at Strathfield). Restoring from backup now. Lets pray.
Edit: All good! Just syncing my crap over now. 2 hours, 675mb and 5kg later, I am back on a un-jailbroken iPhone. I think it will remain that way until v2.5. I ain't taking anymore risks.

This didn't work for me - didn't get into DFU mode, so tried Step 19. iTunes responded with an error when I tried to restore using custom F/W that pwnage tool had created.
Restoring with Apple F/W now. Have to sync everything again... Great.

Did anyone at all notice GPs not working 100% accurate after jailbreaking?
Mine works very close to 100% - but it doesnt track exactly like it used to in the same locations with full 3g reception.
It gives a good general idea with the blue dot - but it ALWAYS has a blue circle around it, it never knows 100% where i am anymore, restoring didn't fix this issue - it worked 100% fine until i jailbroke it, now the gps seems confused and slightly blind. It won't follow me 100% either due to the above problem, it just keeps guessing and updating the blue dot based on that, rather then smoothly following.
Anyone at all experienced this issue? or if its another issue the fix?

restored my iPhone back to factory settings.

did that fix it? As I restored mine to default, and the problem remained, do I ended up jailbreaking again..

Sorry if this is a bit of an obvious question, I'm new to this.
When you have a jailbroken iPhone 3G and Apple release a firmware update (eg. 2.0.1), are you still able to install this via iTunes or do you have to wait for the Pwnage Tool to release a v 2.0.1?
Also, since Cydia doesn't support many apps yet, is it possible to install them via SSH using CyberDuck? One such app I will be keen to install is MobileScrobbler since the Last.FM app doesn't support scrobbling.
