Hi guys
I have a little problem. I followed the instructions to jailbreak my 3g Iphone, everything went perfectly, till Itunes said your Iphone will be powered on or something like that and detected by Itunes. Well my phone is just hanging with an apple logo continually flashing on and off. Has anybody any suggestions. I think it is stuck in restore mode.
Any help appreciated.

Hold down the power button to reboot the phone, disconnect from the computer. If this does not work you will need to hold the power button and home button and put it back into DFU mode then do a restore via I tunes. You can then start the whole process again

What guide are you following? I used the I Clarified Guide iClarified - Apple News and Tutorials and downloaded all the software from the I phone dev teams site
blog.iphone-dev.org This way I was sure of getting the right files. If you follow this you should not have an issue

Don't worry, all good.

to be honest I do not no why you are jailbreaking the 3g phone as installer is no longer supported and Cydia has nothing on it apart from ssh which will allow you to shift things across. The only plus I can see is that it will allow you to drop another sim in if overseas. Others may have a different view point and this is just my personal view point

You are not making sense you say you can get into optus so what is the problem? Or do you mean you can not. Did you leave the sim in why you did the jail break? Are you using a Mac or PC?

sorry run out of ideas, I would need more information as I can not understand how you can unlock the sim. Jail breaking unlocks the phone so amost any sim can be used. Did you have error messages?
