NuevaSync never really worked properly for me. Not all events that were already in my calendar made it to the phone. Only some calendars synced properly. As a result I stopped using it.
I thought I'd give it another go and it has synced all my calendars properly. All events seem to be in there. So if anyone else was having problems with it, maybe give it another go.

I found a much easier approach to syncing Google Calendar to iCal and the iPhone. BusySyc is a little app that installs a system preference pane on your Mac which will sync Google Cal to iCal on the Mac (or sync iCal between various computers on a network). From there, of course, it syncs to your iPhone when ever you sync your iPhone.
Not as instant as a "push" set-up, and it doesn't work with contacts (although there is a hint that it may in the future, but cheap, effective, and it just works.

I've got that set up at work and it is great for sharing our calendars over the network but having to plug in to sync calendars sucks.

Nah it has nothing to do with MobileMe. NeuvaSync will do its magic and run your Google Calendar through their exchange server so you can have over the air calendars. And you can set mail to check for mail on your Gmail account every 15min. Good enough to Google officially supports it.

Hi Erwin, I wasn't aware of this thread until another user pointed it out this morning. So, we'd like to investigate this issue, and so far have been unable to reproduce it (it's also a bit strange given how we receive events from Google -- there's really nothing that should care if they overlap or not). Can you still make this problem happen ? If so please e-mail me our our support team (support@nuevasync.com). Thanks.

Hi, I'm rather late in responding to this, but no we don't divulge your confidential information. The service is free because a) we deployed it originally to test our sync code, expecting only a few users to sign up, hence we had no reason or need to charge for the service and b) development is not yet complete and we don't feel it's appropriate to charge for a beta service. That said, we have made a commitment to always offer some form of free service into the foreseeable future.
Quite a while ago we implement support for Google OAuth which removed the need for you to give us your Google password. It also makes the 'captcha required' thing unnecessary (I noticed that was mentioned at the beginning of this thread).

It's only a problem in the initial setup sync. I still have major events on my iPhone and Google Calendar that never made it into my Outlook. But it's not a big deal, as new events show up fine - but I find I have to set the events in Outlook, not on my iPhone.

Yep, you're right then. Google hasn't made it as a feature. But it works great through NuevaSync.
