I think you're screwed. Sorry.

You could give Optus a call, since it's all Optus they may let you use one of their data plans.

Am i really confused?

I have Virgin Mobile and its $69 a month for 1GB, $2/mB if over quota...

I don't see this plan at all on Page 1.

this is for 3g mobile data rates, i.e. adding data capability onto a mobile phone plan. for computer mobile broadband, the rates are very different (even though a lot of the technology is the same)
