No as once you upgrade to FW 1.1.4 the modem software is updated you can not downgrade the modem like the operating system.

At the moment there is only jailbreak for 1.1.4

the guys are working on activation & sim unlock

There is 3 parts to unlocking a iPhone

ACTIVATION
JAILBREAK
SIM UNLOCK

The process has never changed from the first iPhone.

Tools like ZiPhone etc all work the same basic way but kater to a specific firmware.

Start reading the threads and understand how the iPhone works & the unlocking process.

I'm no expert on the topic but it looks like from the official ZiPhone's blog that maybe you can downgrade to 1.1.3 and continue? Anyone care to explain how to do this?:

I am still testing the new version.
I am doing this for YOUR SAFETY.
I have been informed of FAKE versions around.
Trust me and this site.
And..by the way...
1.1.4 is just a debug release.
There is no real reason to rush and upgrade.
Use DFU mode in ziphone to downgrade to 1.1.3
And enjoy your phone!

With ZiPhone 2.5 out, its now possible to unlock, activate and jailbreak a 1.1.4 iphone.
Will the fixes described in this post (i.e. the ones in the wpool repo) still work on 1.1.4?

It seems that there is very little reason if any to upgrade to 1.1.4 so I will probably wait anyway but either way I seem unable to actually download the app. In safari I get a page of funny looking code. In firefox it says something about saving a binary code file. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Morgs

As I am on Virgin, I also found using the "Make it Mine" app (just look in installer in all category) useful to ensure it showed the Virgin logo (just changed the operator to Virgin).

If on 1.1.4, you need to use the 1.1.4 Summerboard Installer hack from repo.ispazio.net source so 1.1.3 apps install (until they are updated for 1.1.4).

Update: It's now called the "1.1.4 Compatibility Patch" in the "Tweaks (1.1.4)" section after adding the repo.ispazio.net source.

Regards,
Shane.
