See this is why I went for a 12 month contract, it easyer to upgrade to the new model. I would say Apple will refresh the iphone in october with the mac refresh.

I hear the carriers let you upgrade your iPhone to a new one, but your 24-month contract restarts.

Really? I can see people wanting to upgrade, and the waiting game starts all over again.

They allowed upgrade in USA but I would be a bit surprised if they did that here.

i think we will see 64gb touches before 32gb iphones. if the iphone matches the touch in capacity who would buy a touch? and seeing touches just had an update, i dont think we will see another one for 4 months at least

I honestly can't see Apple releasing a new iPhone until well into the next year because whats in it for them?
They only released the new 3g phone a couple of months ago and they're still patching and fixing some minor bugs and to push out a new model just doesn't seem to fit into any form of logical thinking? Not only will it cut into iPod Touches, but how often has Apple released a new Mac only to release a new revision a few months later?

I'm sure any of them will, they'll just want people to pay out the remainder of the existing contract.
That's what I did with optus when I got my iPhone before my previous contract finished.

There is no way there will be a full revision, maybe a storage update.

We all have know Apple would increase the storage capacity of the iPhone. It's just a matter of when flash memory in the appropriate size gets to a price factor. I don't see a need for folks to run out and upgrade. Your just getting extra storage, not any new features if this rumor is true.

I am only guessing here but if a phone could hold 32gb of what ever, then i am sure people will snap one up.Most people I know have told me there holding off on getting an iphone untill a 32gb or larger model comes out, as they feel 16gb is not enough.
