Dropped Calls
I see so many people complaining about dropped calls on their iPhone, mostly those from the States. Is it just their network as I don't hear about to many Aussies winging about it. So do you suffer from frequent dropped calls? Are you using 3G or edge?

Is this for 3G users only?
If not, then I have never had a drop out on Telstra on my 1st Gen.

I have calls drop on a daily basis - at least 2 a day. It's pretty annoying to have to constantly ring back... I'm on the Virgin Topless plan though, so it doesn't bother me that much as i'm not losing any money.... but still!

In the middle of calls it goes silent then I get disconnected. If the other end can call back they tell me they heard an automated voice telling them that all channels\lines in the area had become congested.
Odd thing is that whilst I live in a metro area, it isn't exactly "busy".

Since Day one of having my iPhone I have had one dropped call which was an incoming call and seemed to drop from the callers end.

No dropped calls.
I've had plenty revert from 3G to GPRS mid conversation, and the worst that has happened is that the other party (or myself) have missed a word or two in the transition.
Gotta say, I don't really care about 3G for voice. GPRS seems to give great voice quality.
