Exclamation Flash on iPhone/does workaround work?

Anyone know the latest in regard to Flash on the iPhone. Seems it was going to happen in March, then it wasn't, now no idea. I've notice there is a workaround via ipod.videohampster.com, but to date I've been reluctant to put on my phone things which aren't strictly "kosher" - anyone had any experience with the workaround?

God, i hope flash never gets enabled by apple..

Safari runs like shit on the heavy sites as it is. Imagine what a few flash banners will do to it.

I would imagine if it was added that there'd be an option to turn it off.

If they can do Mario in javascript, then I hope they never have flash on the iPhone.

Imagine if mobile internet killed Flash for good. That'd be a great and glorious day!

Flash is a bit of a pig when it comes to resources. Can't see it performing well on any mobile for quite some time, if ever.

apparently its a real battery issue, flash on the iPhone would be a big drainer.

Trouble is you are forgetting Windows based Mobiles where Flash and maybe Silverlight would succeed.

I'm sure flash worked on my nokia 6120. Surely the iphone is more powerful than that!
