32gb Iphone released 16/09?
Yeah, I know, it's all just a rumour. But I thougth I'd put it out there for interest sake. There's a thread on whirlpool about it iPhone 3G 32GB on sale 16/09/2008 - iPhone - Whirlpool Broadband Forums . Obviously anyone can post this stuff but I haven't read it anywhere else, though I guess with the September 9 event or whatever it's at least a minor possibility, though a lot of people who wanted 32gb on launch are probably going to be a tad annoyed if it actually happens this soon.
In the meantime you may commence your derision of Whingepool

Nope. Way too soon to release a 32GB. They will eventually, but they know that they'll be attacked by the masses of early adopters if they do it this soon. I wouldn't be surprised if one made an appearance at MacWorld.

Ditto, it's definitely to soon. I have no doubt they could build one right now and it would all be fine, they're just holding out so that in six months everyone who wants 32gb will have to buy a new iphone

Oh come on, you know you want one already. I didn't tell you - either the 2.0.2 upgrade did wonders to the 3G in Tassie, or Optus have upgraded their towers. I have two bars of 3G reception both at my house (Dynnyrne) and at school (Taroona). Now's the time!

They'll be uproar if a 32GB model came out. The 3G was 'just' launched!
How much is it going to be anyway, $999? (prepaid/outright since I paid $785 for my 8GB off Vodafone).

A 32gb iphone is coming. I hear it this year. However it be stupid to bring out a new model so soon after. Would i jump out and get one...no, only coz i don't want to play the waiting game again. And i am happy with my 16gb model. I guess I'm lucky I went for a 12 month and not a 24 month contract which was my plain all along.

And the iPhone was "just launched" when they released the 16Gb model at the same event last year.
I hope they do bring out a 32Gb version soon - certainly needs to be one.
Too bad for people that rushed out and HAD to have the new one. Shoulda waited a few weeks. |

Meh... I rarely come close to filling my 16gb anyhow... and since the things plugged into the computer pretty much daily for a recharge, changing the music over is not an issue really
But like horsepower and money, you can never have too many GB i suppose
