Data on another phone while Optus iPhone getting replaced?

Okay, I tried searching but didn't get anywhere - so either no one has asked before or I'm blind as a bat.

My iPhone 3G (Optus post-paid) has experienced the worst of everything - cracks, dead pixels, dust under screen, you name it. It's finally getting replaced, so I'm using another smartphone in the meantime. My question is whether I'll still have access to the data allowance on my plan?

The start of the terms & conditions says:

"The ‘yes’ iPhone Plans are only available to you if use an iPhone handset which remains connected on this plan. If your iPhone handset is no longer used and connected on the ‘yes’ iPhone Plan then Optus will transfer your service to an equivalent non iPhone ‘yes’ rate plan."

Then further down:

"The mobile data included in your ‘yes’ iPhone plan is supplied in accordance with the terms of the Standard Form of Agreement. You must comply with these terms including our Acceptable Use Policy and Mobile Fair GoTM Policy when using the service. The service provides a connection to the Internet via the Optus Mobile 3G/HSPA and GSM networks. The service is only available to customers within the Optus 3G/HSPA or GSM coverage area and is subject to network availability, refer to Optus - About Optus - Network Coverage. You need to have 2.5G or 3G network compatible mobile phone which is provisioned with the required settings to activate data use."

Which seems to suggest that any 2.5G/3G phone configured with the right APN settings can still make use of the included data.

Anyone know what the deal is?

To answer my own question...

Your 'yes' iPhone plan will switch to a standard 'yes' plan once Optus detects that your SIM is in another phone. When you receive the replacement iPhone, it's up to you to contact Optus to have them switch your plan back to a 'yes' iPhone plan.

I'm on an iPhone yes plan as well but I'm not using the sim card on the iPhone, I used virgin. I stuck the optus sim on my Lg phone and nothings changed so far. I can still use the data included on it.

I'd change the APN to yesinternet on your other phone if you were gonna do that, the yesinternet APN is the one for the iPhone data plans
