iPhone gaming control pad in the works?

Found this on iPhone Gaming Control Pads in the Works | Touch Arcade

Looks interesting actually, I just hope somebody releases an emulator or two on the App store.. Would be nice to play all them classic games on the little bugger.

would be better for Apple to come up with an official solution. Then they will enter the PSP DS territory and threaten their marketshare

Still an Apple fan but cannot forgive them for pulling FireWire support from the MacBooks!

I would have thought more people would have been excited about this peripheral coming out?

Meh. We have PS3s and XBOX360 as gaming consoles. The games aren't good enough on the iPhone yet to warrant such a device.

It would be just taking it too far without a proper justification.

I personally would love to own such a device for playing SNES ROMs and such on my plane trips
other than that, overkill

the reason being is that everytime you touch the screen, the games slow down
also, the screen is split in two for the actual game and the controls
