Bricked during unlocking, help!

Hey guys,
Seem to have somehow bricked my phone today, while restoring as part of the telstra unlocking procedure. Will it unbrick using recovery-mode restore when the unlock comes through? or do i have to go back into telstra and have them reactivate it?

Thanks a mill..

yes, before starting you should of a made a backup of your phone and then when the restore completes, you can get your settings and contacts and whatever back to how it was before.

sorry, was that a yes to having to go to telstra to reactive it, or yes to it'll unbrick when unlock goes though?
I did initially make a back up, but in fiddling with 2.01 update and numerous restores with and without 3 sim, it bricked me out.

yeh seems to stay bricked even after a recovery mode restore, just doesnt wanna let me back in.
Should i continue to do DRU restore until they unlock it on their side? Or will it not unlock unless the is activated again

So basicly the phone's screen is in emergency call mode, asking for a valid sim. When you plug it into itunes, itunes says exactly "the iphone can not be used with itunes because the information required for activation could not be obtained from iphone"....so, the phones deactivated/bricked.
The only way i can do restores is in recovery mode (hold sleep and home), after recovery nothing has changed, it turns back on and gives the same messages on both phone and itunes. My interpretation is that its restoring it into a bricked state each time.

My concern is, and this is ultimately what im trying to get at....does the phone need to be in an activated/unbricked state for it to receive the unlock command over itunes server when it comes??

thanks for bareing with me guys!

ok i've been reading around, and i think it has something to do with me updating to 2.01 during one of the restores i was going, alot of ppl have been getting the emergency screen and have been unable to connect to intunes unless is recovery mode after this update...wow apple has really f**k this launch up.l

warning: Do NOT update your firmware to 2.01 while waiting for unlock to come in!
