using optus.com.au/viewmms what's the deal??
ok I am getting SMS notification from optus whenever some one sends me an mms
however when the SMS that I get says open at the above adress the iPhone opens in safari but it doesn't render thehtml correctly so anyone on their iPhones can go to http://www.optus.com.au/viewmms
what do you see?? Does not render correctly
so optus needs tofix this up their rendering engine does not render to something safari on the iPhone 2.0.x likes
I however tried on my iPod touch 1.1.4 JB and IT WORKS so there's a diferrence between the two safaris

WORD. Let me go try this on 2.0.1. I was hoping the render bug was on the fix list.

I can't get this to work under Safari or Firefox on OSX, or IE under Parallels. Lets me login, and I can see the message, but not the image.
Anyone? With Optus obviously....

+1 Fuck you, Optus.
I also don't know why there is no MMS feature on the iPhone. I realise that Apple are pushing you to use email but not everyone has an iPhone and I always have people wanting to either send me an MMS or request that I send them an MMS so they can get it ASAP and not when they get back to their computer to retrieve the email.

It used to work. I'm fine with the iPhone not having it, but yes, Optus do need to provide a solution. I notice that it says 'legacy page' - well that's fine, but I need a solution here!
Friend on football mad monday keeps sending me photos....I wanna see them!
Any solutions anyone? Anyone feel like calling Optus? heh

i rang optus..and they set me so that i get the sms notification.
but then whats the use if the iPhone cant load the page.
it use to work on 1.1.4 ipod touch...
so maybe version 2.0 of safari is more "standard" based?!?
dont know...but...yes...Optus should DO something about it....

I got my first MMS in months last night. Went to the viewmms page in firefox and it worked fine. Then I though "hey, it'd be a good idea to make a webclip of that just encase I get another one in 6 months." Opened it up in mobile safari and it came up with a whole lot of code.
So, works for me in Firefox 3 if you do need to view one. But you'd think Optus could fix it so it worked in mobile safari.

Well, you're doing better than me. I'd love to see what my mates Mad Monday celebration was like...
Spent 85 minutes on hold to Optus today before I got cut off....
