Bad Optus iPhone Experiences...

Hi ...
so i ordered my iphone over the phone on monday the 28th and all went fine and dandy was told delivery would be 31st july...

Well... 31st came and went and no iphone!
so i called at about 5pm and by the time i got transfered to the fight department they were shut. so i ring again the next day being the 1st now and after over an hour and a half on hold to the delivery department apparently it was not their problem and transfered me back to sales as well as sending an email to the person who processed my order... what this achieved i will never know as he was supposed to ring me to fix up what appeared to be some sort of internal error. well he never rang and now for the remainder of friday and all of today (saturday) i have been chasing my own tail trying to find somebody to actually help me rectify the situation however it seems nobody in any department at any level including the managers want anything to do with my problem.

so i put it out there has anything like this happened to you? how was your problem resolved?

No offense as I'm sure you are a bit annoyed at Optus as you do not have your phone yet but it has only been a total of 5 days since you ordered your phone. There are people that are still waiting for their phones that ordered them on the 11th of July.

Maybe the delivery was the delivery of iPhones for stock, not delivery to you perhaps...

I think he was told it would be ready to be picked up on the 31th That makes a different!

Yes, very true. However, one only needs to read the Rainchecked with Optus thread to figure out that estimated delivery times can be very sketchy at best.

yes i understand others have been waiting longer. however my point here is not the waiting i can deal with that! its more the fact that 1 i was told a day sat home all day and nothing arived and 2 noone in optus seems to be able nor want to actually help solve the issue but they do seem to want to frustrate the hell out of me.

if they had of told me the middle of august for deliver that would have been fine and i was shocked that it was supposedly going to be so fast!

I do agree with alot of people at Optus are very uninformed on the goings on around them.

Mrs Kirium got a bit jealous over the iPhone I bought at the Apple Store in Sydney last weekend and decided she wanted one.

Mrs Kirium rang Optus SMB sales on Monday and ordered a 8gb phone. Advised of Wednesday delivery.

Wednesday comes and no phone. Rings Optus for Toll consignment number and told their shipment hasn't arrived yet. Should arrive today and will be sent out Thursday for Friday delivery.

Calls on Friday for consignment number and told her order was cancelled on Thursday some time. No-one bothered to advise her of this or give a reason why. After a few hrs on the phone, no solid reason for the cancellation was discovered so they took her order again. Advised of Monday delivery....
