Optus 3G Network Issues Today?

Anyone else having 3G Issues in Melbourne? I'm on the Yarra in South Melbourne and I have Zero 3G Coverage. Great GPRS/GSM, but Zero 3G. maticks reported a similar issue where he is (On a train I believe). Anyone else in Melb/anywhere seeing the same?

I'm in Elsternwick/St. Kilda and I am getting no 3G signal on Optus (which is really only 1 bar down from the norm ).

^Doctor, just hop in the TARDIS and go back to yesterday, you'll have one bar in no time. Or maybe jump forward and see if the reception problems get resolved or if a new firmware get's released? thanks for that

Hm I had one bar 3g for a brief shining moment but now it's gone back to GSM. though when i did have that one bar, data speeds were great. it seems more like 3 bars to me. iphone signal meter is definitely not sure what it's doing.

yea they are upgrading the network to handle all the new iphones, and giving more data to compete with Telstra, EVERYONE is to get double the amount of data they signed up for, so if you currently have 500MB on your plan you will now get 1GB, if you had 1GB you now get 2GB etc....

LOL!.. I am allowed to dream

I just rang Optus about another matter and after getting through their (#$&(@#* voice recognition menu (HATEITHATEITHATEIT), they had an automated message saying that their Optus 3G network is down in Melbourne and they are currently working to rectify it.
