I think you have to email it from the Photos - hit the little square with the arrow and click 'Email photo' - then compose your email in there.

You have to do it through the camera roll. Open up the image you want to send, click the button on the bottom left, and select 'Email Photo'

You can then fill out the email as you normally would.

Edit: SNAP

Then it is your email settings that you need to look at.

e.g. SMTP servers, authentication, etc.

Although if you have previously been successful in sending emails without photo attachments, then it should not be a problem. Try again.

Alternatively, if you have access to a computer, and have the USB cable, you can pull the photos off the iPhone without WiFi/3G.

hey people im so sorry to be bringing this up again but i really need some help. I have an issue with sending an email over 3G...

When i am in a wireless zone (mainly home network) my ISP email gets sent with no hassle... but when i am in a 3G zone it does not send email... and this is becoming very frustrating... i can receive with no problems but can not send...

can anyone shed some light on this for me?

go into the properties for the outgoing server and enter the same username and password you use for the incoming with your ISP mail.

Try using Air Sharing, easy wait to get a photo from your iPhone to your comp. Not much of a solution for the issue at hand, but take a look...

That's because when you're at home you're connecting with an IP address that your ISP recognises. When you're in 3G, your IP is a Telstra/Optus/Vodafone/3 IP address and may not be recognised.

By doing as linux_insidev2 said this will authenticate you on the SMTP server regardless of your IP address.

You sure you used the correct details?
another thing to do is go Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars > select your account > Outgoing Mail Server > Other Servers > Add Server

enter your Mobile providers details here
for Telstra - mail.bigpond.com
Optus/Virgin - mail.optusnet.com.au
Vodafone - god only knows

then once that's done go back to outgoing server > select the mail server you just entered and toggle the switch to the on position

This means it will use the second one if the default mail server is not contactable or fails for some reason.

dholms, how do you get the photos from the iphone to the comp using air sharing. have installed the app but the program only gives me two folders to play with, public and sample. how does one get a photo from the the photo library, or camera roll to the public folder?

cheers
