"Backing up ... iPhone" problem

Hey guys, don't know if anyone has experienced this, just tried syncing my iPhone through iTunes and it just keeps getting stuck on the "Backing up iPhone" phase in iTunes and just sits there and does nothing

Any solutions ?

How long does it sit there for? Backing up large apps can take awhile..

It will go through.. just wait. Sometimes it takes awhile. Especially the first time.

If you want to cancel the backup just hit the X in iTunes or cancel on your phone. It will skip the backup and just sync everything else.

Everyone experiences this. It is not actually stuck, but doing it's thing (backing up takes ages, as mentioned).

There have been 2 other threads on this same point. e.g.
IPhone backups taking 30 minutes or more and
How long does it take your iPhone 3G to backup?

Honestly there were a few times I swear it was stuck... as the meter just didn't move for 5-10 minutes... but it always completes if I leave it alone.
