I have moved from the hiptop 3 to the iphone using my hiptop plan. I went to the telstra shop and they did it for me no problem. They change your sim to a next G one and added the iphone code to my plan. Internet does cost alot of money so I would recommend going to "http://www.unlockit.co.nz" on your iphone using wifi and install the disable data profile from that website so the your phone doesnt use the internet from telstra. You still have free sms though.

You can also go to telstra and ask for GPRS to be disabled and that will do the same thing, i had that done, but it fucked up a few times and came bak on....so now im just paying for the usage...but it is an option!
