Why no Back to my Mac

I have to say I am at a loss to explain why Apple has not seen fit to include "Back to my Mac" functionality on the iphone.

I would have thought that seeing the iPhone employs OSX as the operating system, that this would be a simply addition to the software.

Being able to access your Home Mac on the road would be an incredibly handy feature.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Can the iphone withstand those sort of speeds?

Well it may be a future addition to the app store.

There are VNC clients on the App Store.

It also requires MobileMe which not everyone has.

I suppose it is also about iPhone users not necessarily having Macs too, Back To My PC?

Well there are currently at least two VNC applications available for the iPhone. As for the features that Back to my Mac offers, you don't really have a useable file management system for iPhone to drop files from your computer at home to the iPhone, so it would be kind of pointless, at least in my view, beyond the VNC option.
