Im backing my iphone 3g up now - but its been backing up for the past 2 hours and is only about 60% finished.. is there a faster way to backup the damn thing? like removing movies, etc? or does the backup speed only change depending on apps?

Keving you must have a lot of stuff on that iPhone. Hit 'x' if you simply want to stop the backup. There is no faster way unfortunately without skipping it or removing apps/stuff on the iPhone.

It makes a complete backup each time you connect rather than an incremental one. If you have the default set of (stock) 2.0 apps, then it is rather fast. My backups only take a few seconds at most (I have nothing on the iPhone. It's just my phone, not my iPod, or photo viewer, or movie player, etc). Stock standard for me simply for calls/texting.
