There's a MacTalk office? I just thought this was a site run by an apple nerd at his house (not that there's anything wrong with being an apple nerd). What do you guys do there?
LOL Decryption, I used to live in St. Albans. I live in Taylors Lakes now, but I get nostalgic every time I drive down Main Road West.

Updated mine without hassle.
Also noted that there is a new version of pwnage - 2.0.1
Also is there any advantage of upgrading baseband to 4.6 from 3.9?
I thought this would help the pseudo gps triangulation without needing 3rd party apps, but it seems to work with the 2,0 upgrade just fine without the assistance of apps or the 4.6 baseband???

A friend has a 1st gen iPhone that he tried to update to v2, which didn't go so well, then he tried to go back to v1.4, now it won't even power up.
Is it now just a pretty paper-weight? Or is there any chance of waking it from the dead?

We do the podcast there - that's about it. I'm usually too lazy to leave the house to go to the office to work (where there are less distractions).

Put it in DFU mode, do a restore in iTunes, see what happens. Otherwise, send it over

mmmm, I'm poised to pwn my 1st gen phone to 2.0 but the feedback is so mixed I don't know what to do???????
If 10 members can tell me that they've upgraded their 1st gen to 2.0 and everything is fine and dandy, I'll do it!!
