Unlocking Process with Optus took only a few days.

Hi there,

Just wanted to let you all know how the unlocking went for me on Optus.

Call the Optus number who put me through to the unlocking dept. Explained that I needed a work sim from Vodafone to work in my iphone (made sure I told them it was an iphone as the unlocking process is different apparently). Gave my imei number. They registered my request with Apple.

Received text 2/3 days later saying I needed to go to itunes and restore the phone. Need that this afternoon and now the vodafone sim works perfectly.

I ported my number from Vodafone to Optus on 11th July to.

HTH someone.

That does help me. I want to know about the porting procedure and how long it would take. Thank you poppet.

And unlocked 'on the spot'? Explain.

Interesting. 40 minutes is quite fast. I was expecting 40 hours!

That's cool if they can unlock it on the spot!!! I thought that they would always ask you to ring yourself.
Or maybe you just got the good person
