Battery life using iPhone as iPod

Hi,

I'd like to get the feedback of those who bought the iPhone and use it as an iPod as well. Is the battery good enough to do that?

Usually when I go to uni, I have a 45 min ride by bus so I was wondering if the battery could last enough to handle a return trip home/uni as well as a fairly regular use as a phone.

Thanks!!

Yes it is fine.

You can even play videos and stuff. It's fine.

Just remember to top up the battery when you get home or whenever it is low.

I used the phone as an ipod on a 3 hour car trip, made a couple of calls, checked emails, showed it off to a couple of friends(ie, internet, maps etc) and the battery had just gone into the red by the end of the day. Was very pleased with the usage on it.

I got my phone last night. Charged for 6 hours. Standby for 7 hours over night.
Listened to music on it pretty much all day at work (7.5 hours) and surfed the web for approx total of 1 hour, and generally just lookin around settings and playing with the features for another hour. Made 10 SMSs and 2 calls all day though.
Still had about 25% battery by time I got home at 7pm.
Hope that helps.

if you have a laptop at uni, you can charge throughout the day. That's what I do being a graphics student
