Question iPhone 2.5g Headphones vs. 3g headphones

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else that owned an original iPhone and now has a 3g iPhone has noticed a difference in the feel of the headphones in the 3g.

I find the following:
1. The 3g headphone cord is longer (good)
2. The 3g headphone cord feels "sticky/rubbery" (indifferent)
3. The 3g headphones are springy and don't sit well in your ears (bad)

I can deal with 1 & 2, but the original 2.5G headphones had a more solid feel to the cable and less spring, so the headphones sat more solidly in my ears whilst moving.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks,
Shane.

Yes,

I agree entirely, paticulary point 2. But i think point 2 is good, as it now takes me 30 seconds to untangle the headphones as opposed to 3 minutes.

I want in ear headphones that aren't expensive with a microphone.

I find them the same in my ears, hmm. I've always found the Apple ones quite comfortable and well sounding for their price ($35).

Doesn't the 2.5g iPhone have a recessed headphone jack? My headphone plug doesn't stick out above the jack, so I doubt they would fit in the earlier iPhones.

As long as they dont have a thicker plug than the plug on headphones Apple has made for the last 7 years then it should work fine

I mentioned this in another thread but I'll post it again. I ordered these off eBay on monday so hopefully they'll arrive soon but apparently they're good. For only $10 it's worth a try!

I might just be going crazy, but it feels like the 3G iPhone headphones are smaller, and don't fit as well in my ears. I never had a problem with past iPod headphones even though everyone else seems to hate them, but now they do feel a bit to small. Not enough to change though, because I love the clicky thing and the positioning of the Mic (not under my bloody shirt).
