I've got an unlocked Iphone running on three....I can't work out how to get to Planet three? Is anyone able to help?

for those whose iPhone have been unlocked and are on windows .. what do u see in this folder?

Hmmmm so if I request Optus to unlock my iPhone 3G I wonder if I will be able to put in a T-mobile, AT&T sim etc when I'm in the US of A in Sept???

For those trying to get hold of Optus to unlock your iphone, call 133713 which is their dedicated iPhone support line. You still have to go through the voice recognition system, just say "mobile", "existing customer", "something else" (i think that was the order) and you should be put through to someone after waiting a bit. I called up this afternoon at around 3pm to ask about getting my prepaid optus iphone unlocked and the guy was very friendly and helpful, and knew about the whole unlocking process for the iphone. Took down my details to put through to their 'unlocking department' and said it'd take about 5 days to go through and to wait for the SMS from them. Pretty painless. I'd already topped up $80 worth of credit before calling them up, however.

I called Optus yesterday for the unlock (post paid) and received my sms to restore in iTunes today.
It is now fully unlocked. Happy days

Change your APN to 3services, then turn off 3g and then turn it on again, if it dosent work right away wait 5 mins. Then go to three.net.au to access your three content and go anywhere external.

so it does work on three. im planning to come over from virgin prepaid will this work?? if i buy a prepaid 3 sim and put in unlock telstra phone?

will it only access planet 3 through 3G rather than wireless?? im having issues connecting too.

i am using wireless only tho...

http://three.net.au is internal to the 3 network. It's not accessible through WiFi, or your home internet connection. Try disabling wifi if you have it on and try again. You should be able to get to it still if you're on Roaming (you get Planet 3 Lite)

And remember, it's http://three.net.au without the www.

Got my iPhone this morning, just called Optus to unlock it. Seems like they've really trained their staff up, the guy I spoke to knew exactly what he was talking about - Even told me to restore my phone.

Looking forward to getting that SMS and re-joining the land of Three!

I'd say at this point, the staff have done it enough to know what is right and wrong
Plus I'm sure they've been told plenty of times by customers what is and what isn't correct
