Waiting for the backup to complete. Just over half way. Hopefully there will be a message after that.
Sometimes it takes this long, so I don't know if anything different has happened yet.
There certainly hasn't been a message in iTunes yet. Maybe the SMS has been sent early....
Pressing Check for Update says this version is the current version.
Will play around some more after this long backup finishes.
Calling the number where the SMS came from goes to voicemail.

At least I feel like it is closer.
Fingers crossed that me pressing "Never Register" and moving my iTunes account over from a US one to an AUS over the weekend don't interfere with the process....

if it was unlocked by optus, you wont get a sms notification.
itunes will tell you that it has been unlocked
