I think unlocked device would have a section where you can edit the APN settings.... the locked ones don't show that because it's taken from the locking carrier.

Also, a tip for the young at heart. If you sync with 2 different computers (I sync with iTunes at work on a XP laptop and at home I sync iTunes with a iMac OSX) the restore doesn't like the XP machine. I get calendar and contacts off my XP machine from Outlook, but the rest of settings and music is done off the Mac at home. When I tried and restored at the office I get an error message saying it can't restore because the firmware is corrupt. Will try at home soon.

Then it's not unlocked yet. Try again tomorrow or something.

OOo i just made my first call using my 3 SIM .......... FINALLY !!!!. hmmmmmmm I should have gone on the $19.00 Optus plan, and then used my 3 numba again. Im a 'first on 3' customer, but yeah, looks like Im now an Optus Customer for the next 2 years :

Gotta love having a fully unlocked iPhone though

I was ref# 205, I called up this morning to get a status update and 10 mins after I called up they actioned my request, make sure they put you though to the iphone team which sounds like they are based in AUS.

Also with regards to 3 service, I have found the GPS triangulation isnt as accurate without the sat signal, with optus I could get within 50m of my office building location in North Sydney. With 3 i get a 2km radius. Anyone else compare this?

How did you get to the iPhone team? What number did you ring, because I'm having no luck speaking to anyone at Optus who has a clue.

Problem is I ring that, voice menu talks to me .. it doesn't recognise 'iPhone' .. so I said General Enquiries .. then it asked 'mobile/net or phone' or I said mobile. Then asked, 'accounts, tech support or other' .. so I said tech support. Now I'm back where I was before, people with no clue. Urgh hate voice menus.
