I rang up Friday to unlock my phone with optus (post paid), rang today and they said it was still pending. So it looks like people who have only rang this week could be waiting a while too.... |

I didn't get one at all, but mine was submitted on Friday 11th July.
And it's unlocked now, after going through the restore process.

Restore worked fine - mine is unlocked. Can switch SIMs without needing to restore inbetween, as you would expect.
Suppose it's too much to hope the restore fixed my push email issues as well  |

Hi all, great news for us three customers!!!
Just wondering if anyone who has had their phone unlocked originally bought their phone from telstra? From all accounts it seems to be only Optus customers.

i'm currently trying a restore right now
i actioned an unlock 9am monday morning
they said within 72 hrs
worth a shot now i guess |

Nice... I guess I got ripped off then.
$785 Vodafone. Outright. Locked.
I could've went with:
$729 Optus (8GB). Prepaid. Locked. Plus $80 unlock.
$809 unlocked from Optus. Only $24 more than what I paid for Vodafone locked. |

So, can anyone get data to work? i put the APN in as '3services' but comes back with the error 'Safari can't open the page because it is not connected to the internet'
Any ideas?

Damn, thats a bummer...I'm reluctant to throw down that much cash until I hear of someone using a Telstra sourced iPhone with 3. You'd think that it would have been done by now. You have an Optus or Voda sim to try in it? Was the three card in there when you did the restore? Sorry for the questions... |

I'm going to try it again tomorrow.
I have neither Optus nor Voda
The 3 card was in there during the entire restore process.
I'll let you know when/if it works |

I had to reboot the phone (like fully, not just going to standby :P) to get it to recognise the new APN.
I'm using 3services too, works great. |
