The iPhone earphone thread.

Could not see this covered anywhere in one spot so I thought I would start a thread on iPhone earphones.

I am interested in hearing from members regarding,

The supplied earphones, what do you think?

Ideas on how to store/carry them when not in use.

Alternative headsets / earphones.

Apple bluetooth headset. / or any alternatives.

funny stories relating to earphones/headsets.

And anything else relating to the topic.

So,....... Lets get some feedback happening......

I did start a similar topic the other day regarding:

For now, I've just decided to wrap them around the iPhone like my old iPod.

Where was that thread, did it get buried in the avalanche?

They don't go in my ear that nicely out of the box... I'll have to try putting foam covers on them. I really like having the microphone on the earbuds though makes things so much easier. Confused a couple of people today though.... it looks like you are talking while listening to your iPod!

Boseฎ Australia

The best I've tried, and they come in their own leather case.

Yes I have seen them, they would increase the overall thickness of the unit considerably though.

I use some cheap foam covers from DSE to help hold em in my ear. Naked earbuds fall out (I must have big ears), particularly at the gym.

Has anyone noticed that the earbud cable seems "floppier" than other ipod earbud cables? Although it looks the same, my nano cable isn't as "floppy" as the iphone one's.

I just take out the headphones, quickly wrap them around my hand and put them in my other pocket.

That's a good thing I would think. Have saved my iPod more than once on the end of the earphone cable. Jumped across a small water feature in Surfers about a year ago, and my ipod popped out of my pocket, The earphone jack was all that saved it from the water. iPod was dangling from my ears.

Only two real options for Audio Lovers. The Ultimate Ears Super.fi 4vi or a pair of Shure SE210 (Or 310) with the Shure Music Phone Adapter (essentially a microphone on a cable).

Remember Bose Blows!

I'm not a fan of the ones that came with the iPhone because they don't sit in my ears too well but I like the idea of the button to play/pause/skip songs so I had a look on eBay and found these: Handsfree Earphones Headphone for Apple iPhone - Black - eBay Cable Handsfree, Personal Handsfree, Mobile Accessories, Phones. (end time 09-Aug-08 16:14:38 AEST) I bought them yesterday so I'll see what they're like when they arrive. I'm guessing for under $10 they'll be crappy but I thought I'd give them a go!

The SuperFi4vi looks ace. Do the button also play/pause and double-click skip like the supplied buds?
