Wow, Andy, you must be downloading some stuff!! One week on for me, and.......35.4MB (adding both uploads and downloads together). My 850mb limit is safe, methinks.

250MB after 7 days
I don't have push or anything like that set up...
I'm at a loss to where it's all gone.

I am saving my wifi at home as it is nearly finish for the month. I am watching quite a bit of the Taiwanese series on youtube.

I am the same as you. The big bonus for me is the wifi. I am at home a lot on and off during the day. I am using it lots to check my mail as I don't always get the chance to sit in front of my macbook and read as I have two small children. I think it's important for me to remember that I use email / internet differently in Australia. If I attached my UK account to view on it I'd be using much much more. I probably get 20+ emails from online retailers every couple of days with lots of pics and adverts. (Amazon, Tesco, Ocado, Next, Bounty, Sainsburys + every other online shop I've ever bought from).
You know what though I couldn't think of a better way to add to my shopping list at Tesco. Remember something whilst out and about log on and add it to your list using your iphone 3g. I really miss online supermarket shopping. I guess what these devices do for me is take the stress out of remembering everything. It helps me stay more organised.
I've used next to nothing in a few days. Less than 10mb. I am so surprised. I guess I have also done all my playing around whilst on wifi to.
A bit off topic but my input all the same.

After a week I am at 110MB I use WiFi at home and only really check my Google Reader/Emails when out and about. I think my 500MB limit will be ok... But I am suprised by how much data I have gone through, especially since I get very very poor 3g reception everywhere I go.

Personally I think all of you using WiFi are not giving a 'normal' representation of the average Joe. The journos would be complaining because they would assume (correctly I think) that most of the users buying the iPhone over the next few months (ie not those of us who just had to have one of the first ones ) still may run the risk of going well over 500Mb over the month.
Remember that there are still plenty of people out there actually buying ringtones (how many on here do that regularly?) so their understanding of how to limit usage and still get maximum enjoyment is very limited.
Time will tell. I still reckon the plans out there from Optus are only average, Voda are worse, and Telstra are laughable.

I'm only getting 100MB on my plan, so I'll have to use it wisely. All downloads at home over Wi-Fi and try and avoid heavy sites

I've used 140mb this far, since Friday all on 3G. I'm on holiday in Darwin which was a double bonus as there was a queue of 2 for the 5 (yes 5) phones they had. They were initially only offering an 8GB model but once they had my name admitted to having kept there only 16GB one aside (I had been phoning and faxing them since last week).
I've been hammering the web, email and maps and am glad I decided not to lug my laptop along as the iPhone has done all O would have done on it and more. Will be good when (if) Qantas makes thier web site mobile friendly!!!
JD lapping up the warmth in sunny Darwin.

I only used 6mb on day 1one and I had a bunch of network issues today (see below) and couldn't get any access via Safari until I got home to my WiFi goodness.
I think those issues seem to be Optus related to a degree. Voice and text still worked okay. But Safari, Maps and so on were rooted.
