I've been told by OW Stockland Townsville that i am next on the list for my chosen iPhone (16gb White). I was just wondering what this means in terms of waiting time to receive it? will i see it before the week is out or late next week sometime. Thanks

rainchecked at ow north Melbourne. the guy there said they'd be in at the end of the week. though after perusing this forum, i'll be taking that with a grain of salt

Don't hold your breath, Optus Stores have become very good at saying "At the end of..." and of course no phones show up. |

Rainchecked a 16gb black on 11 July, 8.30am and, 25 days later, Optus Watergardens finally has my phone in! (can't pick it up till sat morning tho  )
Hopefully, this means they're smashing through a chunk of raincheck orders because I know there are a lot at that particular store. |

Interesting, considering I'm meant to be number 1 in the queue, I wonder why I didn't a call????. Will be calling them at 9:01am tomorrow!. |

My other half just got a SMS from OW Collins/Elizabeth saying her iPhone is there to be picked up (16GB Black). Odd hour of the night but not complaining  |

I got my 16GB Black from there. Signed up late on the 11th (launch day) and picked it up late afternoon the following Friday after they called.
Generally I found that they had no idea, whether they were just claiming ignorance as policy I dont know. But it was only 15-20 minutes between when I called them and got the "we got none, and dont know when they're coming" to when I got the call to say it was there.

I rainchecked one there today too, and was told 3 to 4 weeks! So yes I would be taking that with a grain of salt. |

With a beautiful twist of fate I was able to pick up my 16G black from OW Collins St after it turned out my RC was not cancelled after all. It was waiting for me since Friday but no one had got around to calling me. Happy Days!

i have been told by Optus World in Rhodes Waterside that i have to wait 4 weeks before they get stock of anything.
I was told 3 weeks ago that the next 'shipment' was supposed to come in july 25th - dunno how all those phones got sold so quickly!!

i actually went in there monday
they had like 9 16gigs
but since im no.73 on the list rainchecked 13th july
i didnt get one
they are only up to like 50 so another like 20ish customers before it comes to me
probably 2-3weeks if they keep getting stock at the same rate |
