The store staff I've spoken with are more p***ed off than we are about the raincheck situation. Imagine how many calls they field in a day? And the order system is apparently so bad, they don't know when stock is coming. All they can say is, 'We'll call you when it comes in.'

Just call customer care and tell them you're not going to pay your bill cos the goods haven't been delivered. Basically told them I will only pay for the plan minus the monthly phone cost - they can sort it out without the store.
Optus staff getting pissed off - I don't give a toss. Like it or not they're the front line - it's part of what they get paid for.

I got a refund for the prepaid iphone i ordered from the 'yes' optus shop in indooroopilly. I went back home and over the phone with optus sales signed up for a plan. Im now getting my phone in the 11/8, next monday, and i can't wait

Just out of interest...did anyone who ordered over the phone with Optus on a plan, and was told Aug 1st for delivery ..... ACTUALLY get their phone on friday??
I'm NOT HAPPY

I was told the 1st of August and it arrived a day early (16GB black). Still waiting for my number to port though.

I don't even think I'll bother calling Watergardens OW today, what's the point. They won't have stock even though every other store in the area does...

After my issues with the Collins Street store in Melbourne where I finally got to cancel my RC (not the contract but just the phone) and organised a phone delivery through customer service/ tele-sales (coming Thursday) I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from the same sales guy. He just wanted to ask if I was ok for thursday and if the delivery address was correct. This was just after 9 am in the morning  .
Just to tell one(1) positive story amongst all the horror ones.

MyMac say they use their discretion to sell to consumer as opposed to businesses with ABNs based on their stock level at the time. They have 2 whiteys in at the moment so only taking ABNs. Apparently they are getting more in Wednesday. Im going to call OWS and see how they're tracking and try to get out of their contract to switch over to MyMac..

OW Brunswick (VIC)
Just wondering if anything has any news from OW Brunswick, after calling twice (once each week) and getting no info whatsoever, I went in there in person on Saturday morning wanting to check the status of my RC (19th July, 16gb Black) and was told..
1. they haven't received any 16gb since launch day, only 8 gb
2. they don't have a numerical listing of RC (I wanted to know where I was in the queue to gauge if I had any chance of getting one soon), they are filed in order by the date they were rainchecked on
3. they are hoping to get some stock in this week but are not sure because what they get told changes.
So basically I'm wondering if anyone on here has RC a 16gb (black or white) and got it from OW Brunswick, or if they know their place in the queue and the person I spoke to just didn't want to check for me

I was in there this morning and the store manager isn't in today. So, unless they've received stock in the last couple of hours, you won't get much other than the standard spiel.

I signed up for a plan on the 17th of July for 16g BLACK iphone @ optus store (cnr. of Eliz and Collins St.) ... Im just wondering if anyone else has recieved one yet? who signed up on or after that date. Ive made numerous calls, and even been instore, and have been informed they recieved stock on the 31st of July, and they would contact me on friday for pickup ...
Still no call ...

Beware if you have an issue with phone not working. Picked my 8 gig up after 2 weeks of waiting. Could not connect to the network to download data. Spent 3 hours in OP Warringah mall on Sat 26th eventually Optus I phone customer service said to return it. The store than had an argument with Telephone support as they wanted the store to replace it. The store said this was not correct as they have to fill in a boomerang form and return it. Went back in Sat 2nd Aug, looked up on screen yes all approved we will call Monday. Ring Monday and they can not find the phone. Thank !!!!!! I have a receipt. Called Optus I phone customer support, everyone is promising to call back. Optus just rang back and my ph falls under early life failure. (yet to find out what this means) as I await another call.
