With unbricking the iPhone what does it involve, is it just a matter of connecting the iPhone to the Mac and following the prompts?

I have already told my store I rainchecked the phone at I want to unbrick it myself, so will see if they let me! |

Rang up Optus World Epping this morning, they said they would have a shipment in today, they rang me back at 1pm saying it was in, now have my black 8gig and it was 5 days altogether.

The 16Gb black that I ordered on Sunday 13th arrived at Optus Prahran (Vic) today. It's slow but they're coming.

Just spoke to a lady at ALLPHONES at Gateway WA because I need to find out what ID I would need for getting my iPhone. She said optus say the turn around for the iPhone is 5-7 working days, but they'd been getting them in about 4.
Pretty good, now I just hope she's not lying out of her ass...

congrats man, i obviously should have gone to prahran instead of elsternwick, i ordered on the 13th too, but when i called today they said a week or 2. it better be sooner than later. |

I am in the same situation, I wonder if anyone that rainchecked at the collins store actually got their phone. I managed to call through and SOMEONE actually picked up but refuses to tell me how far down the line I am. Last week on friday, they told me that from the time you order, 2 weeks. I tried calling optus and ask if they have any info on what I am waiting on, they could not tell me and advise me to call the sales line at 1300-300-562. I am going to call them tml morning to see if they(optus) to check if it is in their system.. |

I actually had one staff telling me last week that their stocks arrive by bunches (extactly by 400 of them) and for people who missed out those 400 will probably have to wait another couple. I also had a chance to drop by today and asked them about my current situation with "Iphone contract" without an "Iphone", they told me that they get these questions in bunches per day and just like everyone else, all the usage that have been going through will all be "Credited". I am curious though as to how they will actually credit the first month's unlimited data. |

I too am playing the waiting game at Elsternwick OW.
Very much not impressed - particularly when I went in on the tuesday after I had signed the paperwork on the Saturday, and had been told that none of the paperwork had been entered into the system.
As such, I am starting to think that due to them not doing this (they finally got around to it on Thursday), I am going to incur a longer wait that normal.
This better not be the case, otherwise I am going to cancel and just suffer without one until vodafone/3/virgin come along and offer a better deal.

They seem to be getting orders in almost everyday - my concern is that they openly admit to having received an order, yet haven't opened the box as they are 'too busy' answering the phone to people asking if their iphone has arrived.
When I suggested that by getting iphones out to people quicker they may be able to reduce this call volume, I was just given a shrug.

actaully they get annoyed if you ask
and if u do ask when its coming i reckon they just say 2 weeks even if they got no source or not knowing what position you are on the cue
i was told that i was like 50th and i ordered on the sunday 13th around 11ish ><
