I mean at the end of the day...they are going to be caned if they do something out of line with so many people...so they are just going to have to put their heads down and deal with it

Agreed, regardless of what people say, it's really in optus' best interest to fulfil their part of the contract, otherwise no deal and customers go elsewhere.

I was told next week sometime, with a shipment coming in today or tomorrow for the people who had already preordered. This is Optusworld Charlestown (Newcastle)

There better be a shipment for Melbourne tomorrow. From what i have seen on here most people have been informed about stock tomorrow or Thursday.
Coz i not sticking around with optus waiting for 4 weeks. When i hear T-life have stock.

Given that most people have a home number and a mobile with voicemail it should be quite easy to get through quite a few in one hour once they receive stock. The bit that takes time is taking the orders surely and filling out the paperwork.

apple took 7 months to sell 1 million first generation iPhones.
they just sold 1 million 3g iPhones in 2 days. Think that might explain some of the supply issues

Mt Barker Allphones. rainchecked one last sat (aka signed up and paying since then). Havent heard anything regarding it since.
