Much as I prefer the Optus plan, the desire for the unit is over-riding my common sense. I'm going in this afternoon. I have wireless at work and home so i'll be right with minimal usage.

Yesterday, I got 2-4 weeks from OptusWorld Brunswick, and 3-6 months if I didn't raincheck this week at Strathfield.

Just rang up southlands optus world, They told me end of this week there stock should arrive.
Just rang up fountain gate optus world, and get a iphones are sold out Australian wide no new shipment for 4 weeks.

I'm not sure if this is true or not but some guy at a Telstra shop told me that if you buy the phone outright from Telstra and activate at home it is not locked to any network and you are free to use it with whichever network you choose.
Anyone know how true this is?
Asking as if it is true I might buy one from Tlife seeing they have stock and sell my Optus phone once it comes in.

I ordered an 8gb and 16gb and signed up to a raincheck contract on Sunday... We're told that they'll arrive on Thursday... so.. do I sense that it won't be Thursday?  |
