Rain checked ordered 16gb black on the 10th was told two weeks max, Which then changed with in two days to this week. Now i just tryed calling and there not answering the phones.

I ordered at about 9:30 on Friday 11th was told "Early next week" at this stage I would say sometime in the next fortnight after that I will be doing a little dummy spit and sulking to my fiance until it comes

I got hold of where i rainchecked ordered it from and now there saying 2-3 weeks. But then again i been hearing mixed reports from other optus shops.

i got told mid week, on Saturday - will ring them Thursday if i dont hear anything

I would say there playing it safe, and giving everyone the max shipment time. Sound like most staff are in the dark with what optus are doing with there stock

I signed on friday last week, I have been told 1-2 weeks. This is for a 16gb Black from Optusworld Darlinghurst in Sydney

There's nothing on Optus's web site saying anything about no stock or rain check orders only.

I signed up to the raincheck on Friday around 2:00pm, I was 4th on the list at Living Digital, in Claremont, Perth. I was told Wednesday, and the guy was certain.

Just tryed ringing Optus again and i keep getting cut off.

I rain checked a white 16GB around 1PM on the 11th at TeleChoice Chadstone, just rang them and they still have no idea when, but they guess between 1-2 weeks.

UPDATE - Just spoke with them, they said that head office called them today to say the phones have arrived in Perth and are being distributed today to the Digital Life stores due to arrive tomorrow on schedule.

Good to hear some progress is being made somewhere! Hopefully you get a phone call tomorrow!

i got thru to the ballarat store today and they are quoting 'by the end of the week' usual thing, so it looks like the information hasn't filtered through to the regionals yet.

EDIT: they better get the phones on time too!

*Crosses fingers* I paid a $100 deposit at OWS Belmont on Saturday morning (9am, poor guy inside probably though 'oh no not this again.' when I was waiting for them to open). Was not given at time at all.

Oh that's awesome news. I wonder if that's just Digital Life or if there's a shipment from Apple that's going to several other retail stores in Perth.

I signed up at Allphones in Maddington and was told that they really didn't know when they were getting more. I'd prefer that than being lied to or given misinformation, so thank you Allphones :P The sales rep couldn't see why Optus would be allowing the signing of contracts and rainchecks if the phones didn't come in very soon though, so she was pretty optimistic. I reckon she's right on the money. It won't be too long
