Just rang Allphones Mt Barker, SOUTH AUS, and they are expecting a bunch to arrive between 3pm and 4pm. Seems pretty precise to be a guess.
Will let you know if that pans out though.

Just rang up the local Optus and Allphones stores - both have stock for customers who have already signed a contract... but as for any future stock, date is unknown.
Might just have to bite the bullet and sign up for one.

I rainchecked (and signed a contract) mine at Allphones (Cairns) as well.
Come to think about it they didnt even tell me an estimated date. I just assumed 7-14 days as that was what people were saying here (initially).
Doh. So I guess it'll end up coming in 4 weeks maybe? A friend of mine just went to the Optus store here on a whim on Friday and picked one up no waiting. *SIGH*

How long did you have to wait for your raincheck?
I'm interested to see how long people have ended up having to wait for their rainchecked iPhone...please answer honestly....Hopefully it will be sooner for everyone rather than later

Confirmed. Just got back from the Maddington Allphones store, iPhone in hand. They put a sticker on it with my name on, so it's good to know they're putting them aside for people who rainchecked them. Apparently they had JUST come in when they phoned, so it would have been around 12pm or so today.
The sales rep almost gave it to me sealed up in the box, but I asked if they had to activate them in store and she said "oops, yes we do". lol. Probably could have done it at home anyway, but still. I was watching the guy who was doing it, making sure he was extra careful with it. He was. It was the first he'd done in the store apparently. I feel so priveliged :P
So yes, it looks like Perth, and other stores around Australia have received a whole bunch of them today. I'm pretty sure many other people who rainchecked theirs will be receiving them very very soon.

Awesome, Good to hear some people are finally getting there's (really doesn't feel like it has only been 4 business days since launch).
Sounds like Optus are getting them out.
Looking forward to a call from Optus World Belconnen over the next few days (Here's Hoping!)
