well even if it is bs, at least it gives me somthing to dream about until it arrives.

I went there on the 29th and rainchecked a black 16gb and got told the same thing. Today its two weeks later so i went in to check and they tried to tell me they'd given me it, showed me the documents and everything and said 'we cant give out a phone unless we see some id' trying to say i was wrong. Came back later and they admit they stuffed up, but now have to wait again for next shipment!!! I'll be going in every single day now.

My 16GB White iPhone is meant to be turning up this week.

i rang and rang optusworld at Morley, and on the 10th try, they finally answered the phone. The girl tried to shrug me off, saying i should wait for 'that phone call', but i asked her politely to go check out the back for me. Apparently it was sitting there right on top of the pile, and according to the receipt on the box, had been sitting there since last week!

I wanted to complain, but i had my shiny new iPhone in my hands so bleh.

RC'd a 16Gb Black on July 22, got the message today and picked it up an hour ago, shrink-wrapped and unactivated.

Was quoted 3-4 weeks when I ordered but was still surprised to have it in my hands before the 'September shipment' people have been talking about...

Seems like 16Gb stock is finally moving...

I still haven't had any contact from Optus world at Greenhills and I ordered on the 11th of july. Shit customer service if you ask me.

I ordered my 16bg black iphone through Optus on 14 July being told that I'd have it by 13th August. When I called last week to check the arrival date, after waiting on hold almost an hour, I was told that the date had been pushed out until the middle of September .... so I angrily cancel, thinking I'll just try elsewhere even if it costs me more time.

This morning a courier arrives with the phone.

So now I'll have to wait on hold for another hour uncancelling the phone that I wasn't going to get for another month

How do businesses run like this?

Give them a call, your phone could be there!.

My girlfriend rc'd a black 16gb iPhone on Sunday (10th), picked it up yesterday. So only 4 days including a public holiday!! Not too bad at all!!

This tread is getting less and less posts each day, I guess the rainchecked phones are coming in nicely.

What about those who were told September? Are they still waiting?

When they told me 'a week' I phoned them every week, just to remind them of their promise.
When they told me 'a couple of days', I phoned them every couple of days, for the same reason.

I ordered the second weekend and as far a I can tell, my store hadn't received ANY rainchecked stock at that stage. A week later they told me they'd only just received stock from the first weekend's rainchecks.

If the manufacturers are making 800,000 a week, some supplies have to trickle through.

The other side of the story is that most of the actual (early) stories I've heard of people walking in and walking out with a phone, they had to get either the 8GB or a White phone and not their 'first' preference.

Signed up today, was told a week and a half, but I didn't know whether the girl was talking about the White or Black iPhone, so im hoping it'l take less time for it to come in. But WTF, seriously, Allphones that is around the corner has stock........

BTW I ordered a 16GB Black.

When I signed up yesterday (Monday 18th), I was told that I would have to wait a week and a half for my iPhone. Is there any chance of it coming in earlier and what are some of you guys' experiences? Any of you received it earlier and how earlier? I really want my dang phone!!
