Got my iPhone today!

I RC'd a 16 GB Black on 14th and got a call today asking whether I would have the 16 GB White that they got today. Hell Yeah!

Got it in my hands now! What a wait.

my sister ordered hers after mine from the exact same store, and got the call today. I still haven't heard a thing

I better not have to wait another 6 weeks for the next shipment

Pretty fed up by now of broken promises and lies by Optus. Frankly, it wouldn't have been a big deal if they'd come clean once they realised things would be so stuffed up, but instead of contacting me to let me know what was happening, I had to go and chase things up myself.

Poor showing Optus.

Nice article. Funny how i asked about activating the contract upon the phones arrival...i was told this is not possible. dammit. still waiting from the 13th. I'll give them a month...then start a racket.

I just called Optus Elsternwick to try and organize a second iPhone. The manager says if I was to order one today, I would be looking at receiving one by Christmas.

How insane is that?

Received my 16GB Black yesterday from Macquarie OW. Waited a total of 18 days. Id advise anybody who has RC'd from that store to speak to a guy who works there called Nick. He's honest and helpful, unlike everybody else who is'nt interested to help out. Overall I think the key is to build a relationship with the employee who signed you up. Visit the store regulaly and speak to them often to find out an update on stock. Good luck to all and keep the faith. You're day will come, and its a great feeling! : )

That is just stupid, and almost 99.99% well off the mark. There is no way that the supply chain will need 4 months to meet current demand.

Agree with that. I was always respectful to the store manager I delt with. He knew me by name after the second time I called...I really think it helped.

18 days ? I have been waiting longer than that from the same store and still haven't received my phone. What is going on ?

(update) I just called optus world in chadstone, they said there was some stock in today and the manager was going through it so i have to call back and see if mine is there. he said there were 16gb in.

Put another call in this morning to Network Comms store in Taree, told person who answered i wanted to speak with the manager or else we would be cancelling iphone order and going to opposition (Telstra which we did not want to do), magically the manager called back 10 minutes ago to say our phone is in todays shipment! So i am off to pick up my 16gb Black iPhone, ordered on the 15th of July.

Has anyone RC'd with Optus Norwood? i was hoping to get an idea about the wait times with them. cheers.

I cannot get onto optus deliveries (1300 300 562) to enquire about my phone ordered 16gb on the $59 cap from the 15th. Was promised 1st of August for delivery.

Has anyone else in a similar situation found out more and managed to get onto Optus?

Thought I was being smart by going through phone sales but now think I would have been better off through a store!
