He's taking the piss, yeah...

However, people who aren't into the latest phones or Apple fanboys wouldn't really understand why people would wait in a line for so long just for one device.

Yeah, but he should have replied with, "Yeah, I saw your wife last night" or some such equally lame arse response. The journo was a douche and was there for the taking. Opportunity missed.

I've got to admit that these guys in the media that are being thrown out to the stores to do this "wow look at the size of this queue for a freaking phone" segments are quite possibly not the best folks.

I have prepared the following responses for the next time:

Yeah, I've seen your mom / wife /daughter / sister naked.

Did you get dressed by your mom before you came out today?

This is a queue to buy a phone? I thought that it was to screw your mom / wife / daughter / sister!

God bless live TV.

If I had been the guy, I would've started talking really inappropriately about the reporter's daughter. Would've got pulled off the air very quickly.

Edit: when a TV journo was in Brisbane asking about the line up, she was all

'SO WHAT ARE YOU IN LINE FOR AT 6AM?!' *grin grin*

"The toilet"

5 people around me laughed, and she moved on.

The guy in the line was a tad precious I thought he had some valid points and was quite funny to. People do take it all to seriously. Folks its a phone a very nice phone but a phone none the less... Perspective

And perspective is that the reporter was abusing folks on national TV. He deserves all he gets.

I totally understand how this guy feels - fuck the media treating these people in a line like some sort of free-ride story. When I was in line for the Sydney Store, I wanted to tell most of them to fuck off and never come back. By the time the store opened, we were just making up smart-arse remarks. The only reason I bothered with these people was to use them to promote MacTalk. I don't know how the other guys coped
