iPhone data and call usage meter?

Anyone know if there is an app, or whether it might be built into the iPhone, for showing my data usage on the Optus network? I would like to see if I'm getting close to my 250mb of data per month. I would also like to see how much I have chewed up in calls as well.

Anyone?

The iPhone has it built-in.

Settings > General > Usage > Cellular Network Data

Click the image to open in full size.

I don't think it resets itself monthly, so you might want to do that so it's more accurate to your bill.

NeoRicen is talking about the usage meter being reset on the iPhone (manually), not the actual data quota that you get from your carrier.

I see, my mistake. Ok so next question is, how do we all check out monthly data rates?

Okay, have checked this out - Optus offer online info on your bill - looks like to you need to know your 14 digit account number to sign up for this service though. Will apparently show you how much of your calls you have chewed through on any given month. I get $300 worth of calls on my Cap plan and want to make sure I don't go over, or it will hurt big time!!!

I am with Optus, could you please post the link I have to follow in order to get this.

In addition, Can anyone also confirm the first month of data with Optus yes plans is free? I cant find that mentioned any where on the contract.

Look inside your account settings like MyOptus My Account or whatever it is called. Log into your account and have a poke around. It's on the front page of Optus' website with a big "Log In" button in yellow.

It's on the second paragraph of the optusiphone.com.au post-paid page.

To celebrate the launch of the iPhone, customers who connect their iPhone to an eligible Optus iPhone rate plan up until the end of August will get their first month of Mobile Internet Browsing for free*.
And the asterisk being:

Sure, just go to:

https://my.optus.com.au/servicecentre/profile/index.jsf

It's under Personal > My Account on the Optus site.

Ok this scares me a little..

"Offers may take up to 14 days to apple to your account" - Fucking great...
"Offer excludes content download" - App Store??
