- Pretty much zero functionality for inbuilt bluetooth - what's the point of it even being there, seriously?
- Contact list is slow to respond when searching for contacts

- GPS rarely works, even when outside - just spins the indicator forever, not even giving me an approximate location. I got the approximate location ONCE inside with WiFi turned off. Thuly any location based app is useless. Very strange.
- The weather icon puzzles me. Why is it a static icon showing 73°? That would melt my face off! Wish this icon was dynamic like the calendar one instead of showing the wrong weather with archaic measurements used only in a single of the iPhone markets.
- Facebook app does not have wall postings.
- Tuner app times out on the radio station stream that I bought it for - even though the format is supported (128 MP3) and it works fine on the computer.
- Form entry in Safari has some strange quirks, sometimes jumping randomly around the page for each character entered
- Password entry is an exercise in frustration.
- Most free apps are useless or redundant - how many to do/shopping lists do you need. How many Hello World/programming 101 apps do we need to see on there? And don't get me started on the "flashlights"
- eBooks need to be a separate category in the App Store
- There's been one or two instances I've wished for cut and paste
|
- Yes, sometimes Safari crashes for me too
- GPS rarely works for you because you are living under a massive fake sky like Jim Carrey in The Truman Show.
- 73 degrees on your icon would have been fahrenheit... 73 degrees fahrenheit would be a comfortable day
- Go to the standard Facebook site - it has been built for iPhone. Just add a shortcut to your home screen... that has wall postings
- Once you get used to using the keyboard, password entry isn't so bad. Plus, it can usually 'remember me on this iPhone' if you check the box.
- Here here, on the free apps - mostly garbage.
- Cut and paste would be seriously kick ass.

Blue dot tracking me around today was very smooth...
both walking and driving.
I'm very impressed!

How much slower is the iPhone 3G software compared to the Touch? I've heard a lot of people reporting the same thing.

Yes. I think I know how to get it more accurate. After it draws a large blue circle in your location, you zoom in with the pinch out method and it then becomes more accurate....locating me in my garage instead of the study room next door! It drops a purple pin at the end.

So wait... it will sync using the internet (Phone connects to internet, Mac connects to internet, internet syncs both), but not via a direct connection to the Mac...
...
...why?
It's like couriering your briefcase to your home desk because you can't put it on your desk manually when you get home from work. I might actually use mobile me if they stopped trying to push it on me so much.

So of all the replies, there are only a very few people with genuine gripes or feature suggestions? Sounds like it's a pretty good device in the long run then!
